Protects equipment from high voltage surges such as lighting strikes. UL grounding requirements for coaxial cable offers protection from hazardous voltages that may occur on the shielding. However, due to the physical length of ground wires, UL grounding systems may appear as an open circuit to lighting. By adding the UTP-VPD surge protector, you can help prevent high frequency surges from getting into a building and destroying your equipment.
